Creating Video Solutions for Web Delivery

Last night I was asked to take a look at New Seasons Market website.  Wow!  I was blown away.  Their site is dynamic, filled with great content about their 10 markets located in Oregon.  While I was impressed with the depth of the information, I was most impressed by their use of video on the site.  I watched videos about their suppliers, the produce manager, cooking with meat and making desserts, and finally a home make-over for a family that has challenges buying for a variety of diets.  It was the perfect use of free content mixed with e-commerce that drives traffic, encourages users to stay awhile, and even entertains.  While the videos, in my humble opinion, had low production value, their purpose and commercial value cannot be overlooked.  My only criticism is that they didn’t make the videos embeddable…so you have to go to their site to watch them and I can’t really show them here.  This site was an illustration of a great online business modality:  rich in free content and an excellent use of video to inform, educate, illustrate and convert.  Hats off to New Seasons!

Yabusame with Tim Ferriss..this totally blew me away.  I’m now a fan of Yabusame and Tim Ferriss!  Yabusame, doing Kyudo (Japanese archery) from a galloping horse….Thank you Miranda B. for the tip!
